In 2014, Melanie began her journey with BDC as an assistant. In 2017, driven by her pursuit of growth, she transitioned into the role of a Registered Dental Hygienist. Melanie finds daily inspiration in her amazing teammates and her aspiration to positively influence her patients’ oral health. Her primary goal as a hygienist is to create a comfortable atmosphere that effectively addresses each patient’s dental needs. The opportunity to practice her passion within a positive work environment, a team that she considers to be more like a close-knit family, brings her genuine happiness. Melanie treasures the unwavering support of her colleagues, and takes great comfort in knowing that she can rely on her teammates for support in any situation.

Embracing personal development, dedication to her patients’ well-being, and a steadfast commitment to BDC’s overarching mission of treating patients like family define Melanie’s values. During her leisure time, Melanie loves to travel, exercise, and go to the beach. Melanie finds inspiration in Glennon Doyle’s book “Untamed”, which sends the message of working through your difficulties and pushing yourself because you can accomplish more than what you think you’re capable of.

Their friendly and compassionate staff walked me through each step and in a matter of a week I had that tooth extracted and my flipper ready for every day use! You can’t even tell I have it in! The office is spotless and they even have Netflix! How cool is that! You’re welcomed as soon as you walk in and they made me feel so comfortable. Having had terrible experiences as a kid with dentistry I wasn't sure if the nice things I've heard and read would live up to my expectation. They offered me several options (a comfort menu) for things I could ask for to help make the time go by easier and with less anxiety.. all for free!
