Dutch Garden Delivery to Senior Living Facilities (April/May)
For the Spring season we spread Spring cheer by delivering beautiful blooms/dutch gardens to nursing homes and senior living facilities around our area.
Operation Christmas Child (November)
We work with Operation Christmas Child (an arm of Samaritan’s Purse) to send shoebox presents to kids in need around the world. Patients have the opportunity to buy a “pre-packaged” shoebox that is then transported to packing centers where they are then shipped out. Each shoebox includes hygiene items, notebooks, coloring books, crayons, and toys.
2023 Amanda Donates Toy Drive
During the 2023 holiday season, we partnered with Amanda Dontes to run a toy drive for the children in the pediatric oncology unit at Staten Island University Hospital, as well as PS124 in Brooklyn, a Title 1 school where 58% of students are in the shelter system. We are so grateful for our wonderful patients who donated toys as they came into the office for their dental visit, and each of team members who brought a toy to our annual holiday party!
2024 Miss Midgies Preschool
On February 7th 2024, Babylon Dental Care had the pleasure of visiting Miss Midgie’s Preschool of West Babylon in recognition of Children’s Dental Health month. We spoke to the children about the proper way to brush and floss, read a story about how fun visiting the dentist is and even practiced our brushing techniques one by one on with our cheerful Dinosaur model! Our goal during Children’s Dental Health month is to emphasize the importance of oral hygiene and instill good dental habits early in life. As dental professionals, we loved having the opportunity to educate the children about proper nutrition and oral hygiene practices at home.
BDC Bright Future Scholarship
We were honored to be able to offer our third annual Bright Future Scholarship this past August. In honor of our commitment both to education and the well-being of our staff and their families, we proudly extended the 2023 scholarship to two members of the BDC family: Brenna Lemon and Brendan Conroy. Both recipients were presented with a scholarship of $2,500 to support their college aspirations.
