How long have you been with Babylon Dental Care?
I’ve worked here for 3 years!
Where did you grow up?
I’m a Long Island native! I grew up in Port Jefferson. I went away for school to Brown, then went to dental school at Stony Brook. My family all lives here, and I love living on Long Island.
What do you love about being a dentist?
It’s always fun to get to know so many new people, and as a dentist I meet a lot of people! I like to learn about them, what they enjoy doing, what they do for work, and bond with them. And being a dentist is very rewarding. I get to take something broken and fix it. I get to give people the smiles they’ve always wanted. What’s better than that?
How do you put your patients at ease?
I always explain the procedure we’re doing that day as simply as possible and answer any questions they have. I also ask them to let me know if they’re uncomfortable at any time so we can take a break or figure out why something hurts. There’s no need to rush. I’m here to help, and I can go at their pace.
When did you know you wanted to be a dentist?
When I was in college I was debating between medical school and dental school. My dad is a dentist and, knowing I was conflicted, he asked me to come into his office and see what he does. After watching him, I knew that was the career for me.
What are your hobbies?
TV! I’ll watch almost anything. From dramas, to thrillers, to comedies, anything. You name it and I’ve either watched it or I’ll put it on my list! I also enjoy running in triathlons. I like to run, bike, and swim. And of course, I love to spend time with my family and my dog Baily, who is a standard schnauzer.
