Dr. Jessica Martino, a general dentist at Babylon Dental Care, stated that their practice is offering advanced dental services by adopting the latest innovations.
“Babylon is a place that is now incorporating digital dentistry, which is great for patients,” said Martino, Dental Hygenist. “By embracing these innovations, practices like Babylon Dental Care are at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge dental services that truly make a difference in their patients’ lives.”
According to the American Dental Association, digital dentistry is revolutionizing the field of dental care, offering a range of advanced technologies that enhance precision, efficiency, and patient comfort. These innovations include digital imaging, computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM), and 3D printing, which are increasingly becoming standard in modern dental practices. By leveraging these tools, dentists can provide more accurate diagnoses, create customized dental prosthetics, and improve overall treatment outcomes. Recent studies indicate that the adoption of digital dentistry has significantly improved patient satisfaction and reduced treatment times, making it a vital component of contemporary dental care.
Dr. Martino is particularly enthusiastic about these advancements. She spoke about the rapid evolution of digital dentistry and said Babylon Dental Care is integrating these technologies into their practice. “Recently, I read up a lot about digital dentistry and how advanced it is really getting; it’s a game changer,” said Martino. She explained that the incorporation of digital tools is not only beneficial for the practice but also enhances patient experiences. “Digital advancements in implants are making a significant difference, allowing for a smoother transition from traditional dentures to more comfortable and effective implants.”
The impact of digital dentistry extends beyond just the tools and procedures; it also influences the overall patient experience. According to a study published in the National Library of Medicine, patients who once struggled with the discomfort of dentures now have access to implants that are not only more comfortable but also more durable. This shift is supported by a growing body of research that underscores the long-term benefits of implants, particularly those designed and placed using digital techniques. These advancements are reshaping the future of dental care, making it more patient-centric and outcome-focused.
“We’ve had years of implants, and now we’re seeing the difference they make,” said Martino. She believes that ongoing development in digital dentistry is one of the most exciting aspects of the field as it continues to evolve and improve patient care.
Dr. Martino has been with Babylon Dental Care since August 2024. She graduated magna cum laude with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University and completed a General Practice Residency at Kings County Hospital.
